8 – Bombardier Inc. announced it would cut 5,000 jobs company-wide and sell off two units as part of a five-year plan to rein in costs, focus on rail and business jets and reduce the net long-term debt of $9 billion. About 2,500 Bombardier workers were being laid off in Quebec and 500 in Ontario, with the 2,000 other cuts occurring overseas.

Deciding on the need for the intermediate demonstration unit step can be one of the toughest decisions. With an outline of the known facts and assumptions, researchers and engineers will have lively debates on the need for this time-consuming and expensive step. As noted earlier, developing the commercial version of a laboratory catalyst can be challenging, costly and time consuming. Ternium’s revenue for the quarter was up 14.5% compared to the same quarter last year. Equities research analysts anticipate that Ternium will post 6.89 EPS for the current year.

25 – The prosecution withdrew an assault charge in Toronto against former star Blue Jays pitcher Roberto Osuna in exchange for a one-year agreement that he stay away from the mother of his child and continue counselling.
